- Inspection as regulatory agency over 3 landfills, 5 transfer stations, refuse vehicles, complaints, recycling and waste diversion facilities, and closed landfills.
- Inspection and registration of medical waste generator facilities, including hospitals with medical waste treatment, medical waste haulers, treatment and disposal facilities.
- Liquid waste hauler vehicles registration and inspection.
- Registration and inspection of body art establishments.
- Registration of tattoo, body piercing and permanent cosmetic artists.
- Survey and inspection of waste tire facilities using a grant from the CalRecycle.
