2012 Arts Leadership Awards
The Alameda County Arts Commission invites County residents to submit nominations for the 2012 Arts Leadership Awards. This annual program enables the Alameda County Arts Commission to recognize five individuals, one from each of the five districts of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, for their outstanding achievements and contributions impacting the arts community and the residents of Alameda County. Awardees will be presented to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. The Alameda County Arts Commission will recognize the award recipients in late September or early October, during the California Arts Council's Arts-Day Celebration and National Arts and Humanities Month. Castro Valley Blvd Streetscape Public Art Project - Artist Selected
The Office of the Alameda County Arts Commission is pleased to announce that Miriam Klein Stahl has been awarded the contract for the Castro Valley Boulevard Streetscape Improvement Project. The Streetscape improvement project will help to create a safe, comfortable and attractive downtown Castro Valley. As part of the overall project, the artwork will be integrated into the seating and gateway markers along the Boulevard. Watch a short video about the artwork.
