Drilling Permit Application

You may apply for a permit online, by mail, by fax, or in-person:

Online Application

Requirements:

  • You must submit at least 10 work days prior to the planned start of work date.
  • The drilling site must be within the Public Works Jurisdiction.
  • You must provide Well Specifications.
  • You must provide Property Owner Information.
  • Permit fees may be paid by credit card* online or by mailing in check**.
    Accepted credit cards - VISA  Master Card
    Make check payable to: Treasurer, County of Alameda
    *Credit card is not charged until application is approved
    **If paying by check, check must be received by Water Resources before application can be approved.
  • After you submit the application, a project site map must be submitted before permits are issued.
