Early Care and Education Committee
Introduction: The purpose of this Committee is to improve the quality of early care and education of children birth to five in Alameda County by considering issues and making recommendations on programs impacting children in early care and education programs. The primary responsibility of the Committee is to act as a liaison between the Local Planning Council and Every Child Counts. The Committee meets monthly in Hayward and has focused on programs and initiatives such as the Child Development Corps, the Early Childhood Mentor Project and school readiness efforts in the County.
