Pedestrian Master Plan for Unincorporated Areas

The Pedestrian Master Plan provides a vision of a pedestrian-friendly environment in Alameda County. The pedestrian master plan provides comprehensive approach toward identifying pedestrian needs and deficiencies, examining optional improvements, and prioritizing implementation strategies with viable funding sources. The Pedestrian Master Plan includes chapters on Walking in Alameda County, Policies for Pedestrian Travel, Pedestrian Facilities, and Implementation Plan. The Pedestrian Master Plan examined existing conditions, identified pedestrian route networks, conducted needs assessment, identified design elements, and developed a strategic implementation plan. The plan also provides estimated project costs. For more information, click on the links below or contact Paul Keener, Senior Transportation Planner, at 510-670-6452.
